North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays are teaming up with Charleston County Solid Waste and Recycling to present the first annual "Go Green" event at the Stingrays game on Sat., Nov. 1st.

While the Stingrays face the Florida Everblades on the ice beginning at 7:05 p.m., the green activities off the ice begin when the doors open at 6 p.m. for the general public and 5:30 p.m. for all ticket package holders.

On the concourse, the Stingrays are sponsoring a Green Business Expo featuring Mixson, Poplar Grove, Sonoco Recycling, Coastal Transformations, Sun Stoppers, Amerigas, the South Carolina Aquarium, Clearview Displays and Charleston County Solid Waste and Recycling. Also, as part of the Green Business Expo, check out the new North Charleston Police Department E.S.C.A.N. Vehicle.

Both intermissions will include green-related activities promoting recycling and Charleston County Recycling will be throwing out t-shirts and reusable shopping bags to all the fans. We also encourage everyone at the game to take advantage of the increased number of recycling bins at the Coliseum to recycle all possible goods, including your Rays Notes. Let's see how much we can recycle in one night!
