Awe put a lazy shot on net that beat Parley for the shorthanded goal.
Chad Painchaud gave the Gladiators their first lead of the game as he collected his first goal of the season. Scott Mifsud drew the defense to him in the left wing circle before rolling the puck along to a wide open Painchaud in the slot to set up the marker at 6:58 of the third period. Joel Stepp also had an assist on the goal for Gwinnett.
Fretter added his second goal of the night at the 11:06 mark of the third period beating Parley from the slot with a quick snapshot with just three seconds left on a power play. Mifsud added his second assist of the game while Jim Jackson also had a helper on the marker.
