Main Activated Off Injured Reserve

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, an ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers, announced defenseman Eric Main was activated off the three-day injured reserve list prior to Saturday's game versus Long Beach.

Main, a 6-foot, 190-pound defenseman, scored a goal in his professional debut in a Thunder 4-3 shootout win over Long Beach on Saturday at Stockton Arena.

Main, 23, spent four years (2002-06) of his college hockey career at Colgate University (NCAA), scoring 15 points (5g-10a) with 177 penalty minutes in 131 career games. The Atitokan, Ontario native helped guide the Raiders to an NCAA Tournament berth as a 2004-05 junior and appeared in a career-high 38 games as a 2005-06 senior, scoring four goals and two assists to help guide Colgate to the program's third-consecutive 20-win season.

The Thunder also announced left wing Cam Abbott was placed on the three-day injured reserve list prior to the game.

The Thunder drew 228,364 fans to Stockton Arena in its inaugural season, the ECHL's best attendance mark for 2005-06.
