
Gladiators Alter Roster

Atlanta Gladiators News Release
The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that defenseman Scott Lehman has been assigned to the team from the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League; signed defenseman Jim Jackson; released forward Bryan Dobek. In addition, Adam Smyth has been recalled to the Atlanta Thrashers for reassignment.
Lehman has appeared in 3 games with the Chicago Wolves this season. He was held scoreless in those 3 games but registered a +5, plus/minus rating in those contests.
Under contract to the Atlanta Thrashers, Lehman was drafted by Atlanta in the 3rd round, #76 overall in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. He attended Atlanta's training camp at the Ice Forum in Duluth before being assigned to Chicago.
The Windsor, Ontario native played four seasons with the Toronto St. Michaels Majors of the Ontario Junior Hockey League before turning professional following last season. He had a career year last year with Toronto, posting 5 goals and 50 assists for 55 points in 68 games.
Jackson returns to the Gladiators after playing overseas in Germany last year. He posted 4 goals and 26 assists in 52 games with Kaufbeuren ESV in Germany.
The Marquette, Michigan native returns to Gwinnett having played for the Gladiators during each of the team's first two seasons in Gwinnett. Jackson has appeared in 128 games with the Gladiators during his career posting 24 goals during that span.
Dobek attended the Chicago Wolves training camp before joining Gwinnett. A native of Escondido, CA, Dobek posted 10 points during each of his final three collegiate seasons at Bowling Green State University.
The Atlanta Thrashers have recalled Adam Smyth for reassignment. The Wiarton, Ontario native posted a team high 286 penalty minutes last year with Gwinnett.
The Gladiators roster now stands at 20 players as the team prepare for Opening Night against the South Carolina Stingrays on October 20th at the Your Best Rate Financial Home Ice at the Arnea at Gwinnett Center.
