
Chiefs acquire Jacobsen from Columbia

Johnstown, PA (October 18, 2006) - The Johnstown Chiefs today announced they have acquired forward Grant Jacobsen from the Columbia Inferno in exchange for cash considerations.
Selected in the 9th round (270th overall) at the 2001 NHL Entry Draft by the St. Louis Blues, Jacobsen spent the majority of the 2005-06 season with the Reading Royals, scoring 13 goals and 28 assists in 59 games before being acquired by Columbia on March 15, 2006. In nine games with the Inferno, Jacobsen recorded two goals and three assists.
The Johnstown Chiefs, "AA" affiliate of the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning, begin their 19th season as a member of the ECHL on October 21, 2006 at the Cambria County War Memorial in downtown Johnstown against the Pensacola Ice Pilots.
