in2it productions' president and COO Scott Stuttard said, "The Gin Blossoms are known for interacting with the crowd and really getting into each performance. They do a great job of drawing the fans in to the whole experience and this crowd will be fast to reciprocate since the band will be so close to the audience. We're pulling out all the stops to make this concert and upcoming shows at the ballpark a true rock 'n roll experience second to none."

"It's been our long-standing goal to make Blair County Ballpark an entertainment destination for more than just Altoona Curve games and the announcement of the June 10th Gin Blossoms concert certainly shows our commitment to bringing additional events to the ballpark and giving the residents of Central Pennsylvania the opportunity to enjoy the concert experience right in their own back yard," said Curve General Manager Todd Parnell.

For every ticket sold to the show, $1 will be donated to the Operation Our Town project, which is a partnership between community leaders and area businesses to fight drugs and violent crimes in Central Pennsylvania with the goal to "take back our neighborhoods". Additional information on Operation Our Town is available through their website, www.operationourtown.org.

"We're also very proud to announce that a portion of all ticket sales for the concert will benefit Operation Our Town," Parnell said. "As a highly visible part of the Central Pennsylvania community, the Curve are proud to support the hard work that everyone involved with Operation Our Town has been doing to help rid our streets of drugs and crime. We know that the money raised from concert ticket sales will go a long way toward helping them achieve their goal."

The Gin Blossoms were formed in 1987 in Tempe, Arizona and their first album Dusted was released in 1989. The release of their 1992 album New Miserable Experience vaulted them to stardom as several songs from that album dominated radio and MTV. Hit singles "Hey Jealousy" and "Found Out About You" were in heavy radio rotation nearly a year after their initial release -- pushing the sales of their debut album to over one million copies. After breaking up in 1997, the Gin Blossoms reunited in 2002 and last August the group released their first album in ten years, Major Lodge Victory.

Gin Blossoms lead singer Robin Wilson is best known for his interaction with the crowd. He often hands off a tambourine to a lucky fan in the front row to strike in sync with the drum beat. He's also been known for singing directly into fans' cell phones during some of their more established hits such as "Follow You Down" and "Til I Hear It From You".

The Sunday, June 10th concert is being produced by the Altoona Curve in partnership with in2it productions. in2it productions has been producing live arts and entertainment productions for more than 10 years. Some noteworthy performances have included Amy Grant, Jo Dee Messina, Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood of "Whose Line Is It Anyway," Jethro Tull, Bruce Hornsby, Chicago, Pat Benatar, "Cats," "Rent," "Cirque," "Grease," "Miss Saigon," "Cabaret," and "Bring In Da Noise, Bring In Da Funk."

Sponsors include The Hite Company, Saleme Insurance Services, McCarl's Preferred Services and New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company.
