February 22, 2023 - NBA G League (G League)
Stockton Kings News Release
Entering his freshman season at Arizona as a top-100 overall recruit, Chance Comanche always looked to fulfill his role to the best of his ability. Much like how he impacts the game now, the 6-foot-11 center from Beverly Hills, California, was a dominant interior force on the as a young prospect. As a senior at Beverly Hills High School, Comanche averaged 20.1 points, 16 boards, and four blocks in route to a section title in 2015.
Going into the fall of 2014, Comanche committed to head coach Sean Miller and the University of Arizona, where he soon began to find confidence in his game at the next level. After earning more opportunities during his sophomore season in Tucson, Comanche led the team in dunks and field goal percentage.
After putting on for the Wildcats, Comanche decided to forego his remaining college eligibility for a larger opportunity on the court. Despite going undrafted in the summer of 2017, Comanche eventually signed with the Memphis Hustle. With the Hustle, Comanche played 45 games where he averaged nearly 10 points and 5.8 rebounds. In his next stint, Comanche played for the Cleveland Charge during the 2018-2019 season.
After two G League stops, Comanche decided to go overseas, playing in Turkey for Mamak Belediyesi. Comanche came back home to the United States the following year, where he played for the Enid Outlaws in The Basketball League.
Despite all of the stops, teams, and leagues he's played for, the passion the big-man from Los Angeles plays with remains unmatched, and it's the moment in latest run so far in Stockton.
As a top-15 G League leader in offensive rebounds and blocked shots, Comanche is having a career year as the one of Stockton's most physically imposing players. Comanche is averaging 12.6 points and 7.5 rebounds, both career highs in his post-high school basketball career.
Though he may have found a home in Stockton, Comanche's stellar play with the Kings has given him a chance to find a new one at the NBA stage one day.
