Raptors 905 News Release
Raptors 905 (9-9), the NBA G League affiliate of the Toronto Raptors, were defeated by the Windy City Bulls (9-11) 110-114 Wednesday evening. Raptors' assignee Dalano Banton led the 905 with 16 points, five rebounds, 10 assists, one block, and two steals. Windy City was led by Carlik Jones who had a near triple-double with 28 points, nine rebounds, 12 assists, and a steal in the victory.
The two teams exchanged baskets in the opening, but a 13-4 run gave Windy City the 10-point advantage going into the second. Down as many as 14 points early in the frame, the visitors fought back forcing three turnovers in a row, leading to an 8-0 run. Banton gave the 905 their first lead of the ball game with 2:02 left on the clock before the two teams closed out the half tied at 62.
The conference foes played a near evenly matched third quarter, but Windy City was able to hold onto the two-point lead going into the final frame. The two teams stayed neck-and-neck throughout the fourth quarter, but a pair of free throws sealed the game for the Bulls.
The 905 saw complementary scoring from Darryl Morsell who had a career-high 18 points, four rebounds, three blocks, and a steal. The Bulls were paced by Henri Drell who added 18 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and four steals.
The two teams complete their season series Thursday evening, tip-off slated for 8 pm.
