The Generals are 4-0-0 all-time against the Inferno, including a 4-3 victory on December 18. The Generals don't play at home again until head coach Rick Adduono faces his former team the South Carolina Stingrays on Wednesday, January 29 at 7:00. The Generals are also at home on January 30 at 7:00 against the Roanoke Express. All games this season can be heard on the Generals new flagship radio station, WPET AM-950. LAST WEEK: 1/15 ROANOKE 1, GREENSBORO 3 ¨ The Generals' Chris Allen opened the scoring just 1:37 into the game for a 1-0 lead, but the Express retaliated with a power play goal late in the first period. It stayed 1-1 until the final ten minutes of the game, when Sam Ftorek nailed his league-leading 15th power play goal for the eventual game-winning goal. Ole Kjenstad added an empty net goal for the final difference. Daniel Berthiaume was sparkling in net, denying 36 of 37 shots for the victory.

1/17 GREENSBORO 4, TRENTON 1 ¨ After falling behind 1-0 early in the game on a power-play tally by the Titans, it was all Generals from there. Pete Gardiner tied the game at 1-1 in the first period, and Kevin Grimes scored his first goal as a General for the eventual game-winning goal with five minutes remaining in the second period. Greensboro salted the game away with goals from Chris Allen and Mark Turner in the third period. The Generals increased their season record over Trenton to 4-0-0.

1/18 GREENSBORO 5, READING 0 ¨ The Generals started fast and finished strong in a flawless effort in Reading. Matt Turek scored just 26 seconds into the game for a 1-0 lead, and that's all that goaltender Daniel Berthiaume would need. Berthiaume made 28 saves for his second shutout of the season. The attack was led by Turek, who finished the night with two goals and one assist, and Chris Bell, who scored once and added three assists. David Whitworth chipped in with a goal and an assist, while Mark Turner also added a goal.
