OSHAWA, ONT. - The Hamilton Bulldogs (7-14-1-0) lost a close 4-3 game against the Oshawa Generals (10-11-2-1) at General Motors Centre Friday night.

Mason Marchment opened the scoring at 6:10 of the first period when he snuck a puck past Jeremy Brodeur from the goalline. Trent Fox and Joseph Mizzi picked up the assist on Marchment's 6th of the season.

Hamilton took a 2-0 lead just 30 seconds later as Jesse Saban snapped a shot through a screen for his second of the year. Matt Luff and Maurizio Colella were credited with the assists on the play.

Oshawa cut the lead in half after Joe Manchurek squeezed a shot through the legs of Charlie Graham for his 9th of the season at 11:51. The power play goal was set up by Michael Dal Colle and Mitchell Vande Sompel.

The Generals tied it up when Alexandre Renaud had a shot go off his skate and into the net. After a video review it was ruled a good goal at 14:46.

In the second period Charlie Graham stood on his head for Hamilton stopping all 17 shots the Generals put on the Bulldogs goal.

Matthew Strome gave the Bulldogs the lead in the 3rd period as he deposited a rebound in the back of the net at 5:13 on the power play.

Joe Manchurek scored his second of the game at 7:56 to tie the game at three. Then it was Kyle MacLean scoring the eventual game winner at 9:17. Studnicka and Latin grabbed the assists on MacLean's 2nd of the season.

The 'Dogs are back at home tomorrow (Saturday) to face the Ottawa 67's for the second time in seven days. Puck drop is 7:00 p.m.
