Capturing the Momentum - After a much-needed break, the Boys in Gold came out firing with three goals on the road against Sporting Kansas City, creating momentum heading into the final stretch of the season. Capturing and riding the momentum into this final stretch of the season is going to play a pivotal role in the hunt for MLS Cup.

"As we get towards that point of the most balanced and strongest group, the hope is that the confidence that we built tonight can continue into these guys coming together and helps us to create some momentum in what is four out of five home games to see out this season." Head Coach Gary Smith said. "And that momentum is vital if we're going to have any sort of success in the postseason."

Scouting the opposition - Hany Mukhtar gave his assessment on the San Jose Earthquakes before Saturday night's late matchup.

"We know about their strengths," Mukhtar said. "They can score goals, they have very fast players. We will be prepared. I think we have to be ready from the first minute. We go out and try to get the three points."
