Garbutt Called up to AHL Chicago; Galivan Assigned

The Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League have called up forward Ryan Garbutt and has assigned forward Pat Galivan to the Gladiators.

Garbutt was named the ECHL Player of the Week for November 1st through November 7th as he lead the Gladiators in scoring during the week. The Winnipeg, Manitoba native finished with seven points as he earned five goals for Gwinnett, three on the power play and had a shorthanded goal for the Gladiators. He had a season best four points (two goals, two assists) in the Gladiators 5-3 win over Greenville on Saturday.

Garbutt currently shares second in scoring in the ECHL with 17 points and is tops in goals with ten on the season. He has six multiple-point games this season for Gwinnett and has posted two goals on three different occasions this year.

Galivan returns to Gwinnett after he played for the Gladiators last year in his first professional season. In 46 games with the Gladiators last season, Galivan earned 42 points (20 goals, 22 assists) and had 47 penalty minutes. He also recorded six points (two goals, four assists) in 19 games with AHL Chicago last season.

The Oak Park, Illinois native has skated in four games this season with the Wolves and has recorded two penalty minutes.

Galivan should be available for the Gladiators for Friday's 7:30 p.m. start in Kalamazoo against the Wings at Wings Stadium.

The Gladiators are the AA affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
