GREENVILLE, SC - The Greenville Road Warriors announced today that rookie forward Brandon Wong has been loaned to the team by the American Hockey League's Hartford Wolf Pack.
Wong, 23, began this season by playing six games with the Wolf Pack. He registered six shots on goal in his time in Hartford, but was held without a point. The 5-10, 185-pound forward finished up his college career at Quinnipiac University last season. He led the Bobcats in points with 41 and goals with 19, and led all of Division I hockey with 14 power play goals. For his career Wong totaled 143 points in 147 games (68G, 75A) which are the fifth-most in Quinnipiac history at the Division I level. His 68 goals are also the second most in school history at the Division I level. Prior to signing his first pro contract with Hartford this September, Wong played three games on an Amateur Tryout (ATO) with the Grand Rapids Griffins last season and registered one assist in three games.
Mark your calendars! The Road Warriors are back on home ice Thursday, November 11 to take on the Florida Everblades at 7:05 p.m. ET.
