McKenna Recalled to New Jersey

ALBANY, NY - Goaltender Mike McKenna has been recalled from Albany to the New Jersey Devils, while Dave Caruso has been recalled from Trenton to fill the void in Albany. The announcement was made by Albany and Trenton General Manager Chris Lamoriello.

McKenna, 27, is in his sixth year as a professional and logged 15 games in the NHL with the Tampa Bay Lightning during the 2008-09 season. This year, he has played in six contests for Albany, posting a 2-3-0-0 record with a 3.47 goals-against average and a .890 save percentage. In 2009-10, McKenna set Devils' AHL records for goals-against average (2.47) and save percentage (.921).

Caruso, 28, has been in the Devils system for the past four years, appearing in 33 AHL games and 86 ECHL contests. His last AHL game was at Providence on Mar. 15, 2009 when he supplied 30 minutes of relief, making nine saves on 10 shots. This season, Caruso has gone 1-2-0-1 with a 3.96 goals-against average and a .910 save percentage in five ECHL games.

Albany hosts Norfolk tonight at 7 p.m.
