LINCOLN (9-14-1)
Lincoln searches for their 10th win of the season tonight following a 6-3 loss against the Fargo Force on Thursday night in North Dakota. Zach Urdahl scored twice while James Stefan provided two assists. Aidan McCarthy started the game but was pulled following three quick goals from Fargo. Ryan Ouellette came in relief, turning aside 18 of 20 shots that came his way. In the lone game of the season between the Stars and the Musketeers on January 16th, Lincoln's offense pounced right out of the gate. Stefan, Noah Laba and Nikolai Mayorov lit the lamp in the opening period, giving the Stars a 3-0 lead. Dominic James scored the eventual game-winning goal early in the third period, following Sioux City's three unanswered goals. Cole Craft and Jack Horbach scored empty-net tallies to close out the Musketeers. Clay Hanus and Charles-Alexis Legault led from the back-end with two assists each. Ouellette made 34 saves in the win.
SIOUX CITY (12-15-1)
The Musketeers are in the middle of a six-game stretch that spans over only nine days, thanks to the compressed and unpredictable schedule of 2020-21. Sioux City is 1-3 in their last four games, dropping their latest contest 4-3 against the Sioux Falls Stampede on Friday night. Carter Loney and Bennet Schimek helped the Musketeers jump out to a 2-0 lead, but the Stampede roared back with four unanswered to take control of the game. Brian Carrabes scored late in the third to make it interesting; he also registered an assist earlier in the game. Akira Schmid made 29 saves on 33 shots in the loss.
