Bridgeport Islanders News Release

HERSHEY, Penn. - For the second time in as many nights, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers (8-4-0-0), proud AHL affiliate of the New York Islanders, earned a shootout victory on the road, this time with a 4-3 decision over the Hershey Bears (6-3-2-1) at the GIANT Center on Saturday.

Andrew Rowe notched the only goal in three-round shootout, while Carter Verhaeghe, Scott Mayfield and Steve Bernier each scored in regulation. Between the pipes, Stephon Williams (2-4-0-0) made a season-high 35 saves to record his second straight win.

With the victory, the Sound Tigers improved to 5-1-0-0 on the road this season and evened the season series against Hershey at 1-1-0-0. Both teams went a combined 15-for-15 on the penalty kill; Bridgeport 6-for-6 and Hershey 9-for-9.
