Forward Petr Straka Traded to New Jersey Devils

Lehigh Valley, PA - The Philadelphia Flyers, parent club of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, have traded forward Petr Straka to the New Jersey Devils in exchange for a conditional seventh round selection in either the 2017 or 2018 NHL Entry Draft.

A 24-year-old forward from Plzen, Czech Republic, Straka is in the midst of his fourth professional season and is coming off a year in midst he established new career highs in both goals (19) and points (37). In 192 career games with the Phantoms, the 6'1", 185-pound winger amassed 42 goals, 46 assists and 88 total points.
Winners of four straight games, the Phantoms are back in action tonight as they welcome the Toronto Marlies to PPL Center for the first and only time this season .

The Phantoms are coming off their 20th Anniversary Season and second campaign in the Lehigh Valley playing at the state-of-the-art PPL Center. Established in 1996, the Phantoms spent their first 13 seasons at the Spectrum in Philadelphia before re-locating to Glens Falls, New York in 2009 where the team spent the next five seasons as the Adirondack Phantoms. A new era of Phantoms hockey began in the fall of 2014 when the Lehigh Valley Phantoms began play at the state-of-the-art PPL Center. Through 20 incredibly successful campaigns, the Phantoms have captured two Calder Cup Championships (1998, 2005), two Conference Championships (1998, 2005), two Regular Season Titles (1996-97, 1997-98) and four Division Championships (1996-97, 1997-98, 1998-99, 2003-04).
