TONIGHT'S MATCHUP
Tonight's game is the sixth time the Ontario Reign and Las Vegas Wranglers will face-off in the 2008-2009 season. The Reign hold a 4-1-0-0 record against the Wranglers, with the Reign defeating Las Vegas, 4-3, in the last match on December 19 in Las Vegas. Captain Jon Francisco and right wing Geoff Walker lead the Reign in points against the Wranglers with 6 (2g, 4a) each. Left wing Mick Lawrence (1g, 2a) and defenseman Bret Tyler (3a) lead the Wranglers in points against the Reign with 3 each. The teams are scheduled to meet for four more games this season, with one at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, NV and three at Citizens Business Bank Arena.
Ontario currently ranks first in the Pacific Division standings, posting an overall record of 25-17-3-1 (54 points), tied in points, but ahead with one less game played than the Las Vegas Wranglers (54 points) for second. The Reign are 13-8-2-0 in home games and 12-9-1-1 on the road. Las Vegas ranks second place in the Pacific Division standings, with an overall record of 25-18-0-4 (54 points).
