Tonight, at CN Centre, the Prince George Cougars wrap up their four-game home-stand against the Kelowna Rockets at 6:00 PM. Prince George is coming off a 6-3 win last night over the Rockets at CN Centre. Ethan Samson, Hudson Thornton (2), Fischer O'Brien, Noah Boyko, and Riley Heidt all scored for the Cougars, while Ty Young collected his first victory of the year, making 34 saves.

THE HEIDT TRAIN

To not much surprise, it has been a terrific start to the 2022-23 season for Cougar forward Riley Heidt. The Saskatoon, SK product has already collected five points in the first three games of the year and has registered 10 shots on goal in those contests, which leads all Cougars skaters.

IN THE PIPES

Goaltender and Vancouver Canucks fifth round pick in 2022 Ty Young made his season debut last night for the Cougars and didn't disappoint. The 6'3 netminder from Coaldale, AB steered aside 34 shots that came in his way to help his club to their third win of the season.

ANDREW CRISTALL

Burnaby BC native Andrew Cristall got the scoring started last night for the Rockets in nice fashion. The 2023 draft eligible forward scored a highlight reel goal to get the Rockets ahead in the opening period. That marker turned out to be the WHL Highlight of the Night. Cristall is coming off an impressive rookie campaign, finishing with 69 points in 61 games (28G-41A).

THE PRICE IS RIGHT

It's also an important year for draft eligible defenceman Caden Price. Price, a 2005 born player from Saskatoon has already collected a pair of assists in two games this year. Earlier this week, Price was listed on Craig Button's Early Pre-Draft rankings at #26.
