Welcome Back, Fans!

Finally! It's time to drop the puck in Portland and we couldn't be more excited to see the VMC packed again!

Before we get to the action, though, there's plenty to get excited for at our free Pacific Office Automation Fan Fest, taking place on the Rose Quarter Commons at 3:00 P.M.! Join us for live entertainment, lawn games, food and beverages, plus a player walkthrough as the Winterhawks arrive for tonight's tilt! So come on out and enjoy some free fun before cheering the Hawks to victory

Hot Start

Tonight marks the first home game of the year, but the Winterhawks' new campaign is already off and running with a pair of big wins in BC last week. The team took on 2023 Memorial Cup hosts Kamloops on Friday, cruising to a 3-0 victory behind a Dante Giannuzzi shutout and a pair of Gabe Klassen goals. Klassen's scoring touch carried over into Saturday as his whopping four goals and Luca Cagnoni's OT winner wrapped up another two points in clutch comeback fashion against the Kelowna Rockets.

Divisional Battle

Back on this side of the border, the Hawks are set to face their first divisional foe this year. While Portland handled Tri-City with relative ease throughout their season series last season, these are two new teams with plenty of fresh faces in the lineup. Led by top 2023 NHL Draft Prospect Lukas Dragicevic and 2021 WHL second-overall selection Jordan Gavin, the Americans boast enough high-end talent in their lineup to make some noise in the always competitive U.S. Division.

Familiarity between these two teams remains, however - with 12 games against one another last year and another eight slated for this season, it won't take long for the rivalry to heat up, and it all starts tonight!
