TONIGHT:

The Ontario Reign (35-11-1-2=73 points) will play the Las Vegas Wranglers (24-19-2-3=53 points). The Reign are 9-1-0-0 in their last ten games including a 4-1 win at home over the Wranglers on 1/16. This season against the Wranglers the Reign are 4-2-0-0 with just one loss at Citizens Business Bank Arena.

Las Vegas is currently on a six-game win streak including their 4-1 win over Bakersfield which solidified the Reign's playoff berth last night.

HOW THEY RANK:

The Reign are first in the Pacific Division, first in the Western Conference, and first in the league and are the first team in the ECHL to clinch a playoff spot. The Wranglers are third in the Pacific Division, fifth in the Western Conference, and 12th in the league.

KELLY CUP BOUND:

With a win over the San Francisco Bulls, 4-3 in a shootout, the Reign were the first to clinch a spot on the Kelly Cup Playoffs. The berth depended upon a Bakersfield Condors loss which the Wranglers dealt them last night 4-1. This is the first time the Reign clinched their place this soon into the season, and it is the first time the team has been first in the league to do so.

NO REGULATION, NO PROBLEM:

The Reign are currently the best team in the league when sent into extra frames with a 0.769 win percentage in overtime. They have 4 OT wins, 6 SO wins, 1 OT loss and 2 SO losses for a total of 23 points.

Ontario is second with 3.73 goals-for per game and fourth with 2.69 goals-against per game. The Reign lead the league all season in the shots-against category and currently have an average of just 24.73 shots against.
