
Road Warriors Assigned Connor Knapp, Announce Other Moves

Greenville, SC: Today the Road Warriors announced goaltender Connor Knapp has been assigned by the Buffalo Sabres from the Rochester Americans. In separate transactions, the Road Warriors have signed defenseman Derek Matheson and forward Paul Lee has been acquired from Trenton for future considerations.
Knapp, 22, began the year in Rochester where he posted a 1-6-0 record with a 3.34 goals against average and an 89.3 save percentage. The York, New York native was drafted in 2009 by the Buffalo Sabres in the 6th round, 164 overall.
Matheson, 26, began the year attending the Road Warriors training camp. Following his release, he split time with the Allen Americans and the Quad City Mallards in the Central Hockey League. Between the two teams he scored three goals and collected nine assists in 41 games played. Matheson was born in Durham, Ontario.
Lee, 23, started the season in the Southern Professional League with the Mississippi River Kings. He scored one goal and added one assist in four games played with the RiverKings. The Garden City, New York native had a short stint with the Trenton Titans appearing in just five games.
The Road Warriors are back at the Century BMW Rink at the BI-LO Center tonight against the Cincinnati Cyclones at 7 p.m. The first 5,000 fans receive a Team Poster presented by Talk.Sports. 104.9!
Fans can Be A Warrior for a great cause on February 14th against the Wheeling Nailers at 7 p.m. RED LEVEL TICKETS CAN BE PURCHASED FOR $10 WITH $2 FROM EVERY TICKET GOING DIRECTLY TO THE AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION.
