PROMOTION:
The Ontario Reign in partnership with the American Red Cross Inland Empire Chapter, will host Red Cross Jersey Night this evening.
The Reign players will wear specialty jerseys that will be auctioned off in a live auction on the ice immediately following the game against the Idaho Steelheads to benefit the local chapter of the American Red Cross.
The first 5,000 fans to enter Citizens Business Bank Arena will also receive a Dark Knight coin bank presented by the California National Guard. CLICK HERE to purchase tickets to tonight's game.
TONIGHT:
The Ontario Reign (25-12-2-4) their third home game in four nights against the Idaho Steelheads (27-13-1-3). This game represents the final regular season match between these two clubs. In the seven-year history between the Reign and Steelheads, Ontario holds a 31-20-5 record against Idaho; this year the Reign are 5-5-1 against the Steelheads.
SHEEN SET TO PLAY IN REIGN GAME NO. 200:
Currently at 199 career games played in a Reign uniform, alternate captain Everett Sheen is expected to dress in his 200th game for Ontario this evening, becoming the second player to hit the milestone this season for the Reign after captain Derek Couture.
REGISTER CONTINUES POINT STREAK:
Although he did not pick up a third consecutive game-winning goal on Saturday, Matt Register still managed to extend his point streak to four games (4g-2a) by assisting on Rocco Carzo's tally in the second period.
SPECIAL TEAMS CLICKING:
The Reign have managed at least one goal on the man advantage over their last three games (4-for-14), while only surrendering one goal while on the penalty kill (13-for-14). This has helped vault the Reign into the top 10 teams in the ECHL on the power-play (currently ranked ninth).
COUTURE POISED TO HIT MILESTONE:
Derek Couture continues to hunt for the goal that will put him in exclusive company in Reign history - his next goal will give him sole possession of the club's all-time goals list (currently tied with Kraemer at 83).
