After a weeknight victory against Real Salt Lake, Sounders FC (9-3-3, 30 points) heads back down to Los Angeles for a Sunday afternoon matchup against LAFC (6-6-3, 21 points) at Banc of California Stadium (4:00 p.m. PT / ESPN, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM). The matchup marks the fourth of the season for the two squads, with Sounders FC leading the season series 2-1-0.
Seattle is currently leading the Western Conference with 30 points, three points ahead of Portland. Sounders FC has won five of its last six, outscoring its opponents 18-5 and currently leading the league in goal difference with a margin of +20. Brian Schmetzer will be without Raúl RuidÃÂaz, Yeimar and Gustav Svensson as they fulfill their national team duties.
