SEATTLE, WASH. - Sounders FC (8-9-8, 32 points) defeated Real Salt Lake (8-13-5, 29 points) 2-0 on Wednesday evening on the Emerald Queen Casino Pitch at Lumen Field. Danny Musovski and Albert Rusnák scored second-half goals for Seattle, who saw it's club-record 13-match winless streak snapped with the victory. Brian Schmetzer's side remains home to host Minnesota United FC on Saturday, September 26 on the Emerald Queen Casino Pitch at Lumen Field (5:30 p.m. PT / Apple TV, iHeartMedia Seattle, El Rey 1360 AM).

MATCH NOTES

With the result, Seattle sits in 10th place in the Western Conference at time of writing with 32 points (8-9-8).

The result extends Seattle's unbeaten streak to six matches (1-0-5).

Wednesday marked the Rave Green's first win in league play since May 13, a 3-2 win over San Jose.

Danny Musovski's goal in the 48th minute was his fifth goal of the season and second in league play.

Albert Rusnák's goal in the 74th minute was his seventh in all competitions, tied for most on the team.

Paul Arriola assisted both goals, his first two of the season in all competitions.

Saturday marked the 40th meeting between the two sides in the regular season, with Seattle trailing the series 15-18-7.

Andrew Thomas recorded his seventh shutout of the season on Saturday, fifth in MLS.

Jackson Ragen entered the match in the 60th minute, his first action since August 19 against Austin FC where he suffered a knee injury.
