LAST GAME: The Tigers finished their road schedule last night in Saskatoon to kick off a home and home series with the Blades before their historic last regular season home game tonight. The Tigers took on a desperate team looking to play for pride. Dryden Hunt would get the Tigers on the board first with a power play marker, the Blades would get a lucky goal moments later as a puck bounced off a Tigers defenders skate and past Langhamer. The second period was dominated by the Tigers as Medicine Hat threw 20 shots on goal and 2 found the back of the net. Chad Butcher wristed a puck from the blue line after doing a lap in the Blades end, followed by Trevor Cox roofing a puck under the bar. Cox's goal was reviewed and later decided it was a good goal. The Tabbies in the end picked up a 3-1 victory, giving Medicine Hat 20 road victories on the season.
HEATING BACK UP: The Tigers success early on this season was due to the depth scoring from the second and third lines. The acquisition of Dryden Hunt from the Regina Pats was to bolster the offense as well. Lately the Tabbies have been successful finding the net, after a dreadful month of February, Steven Owre, Chad Butcher and Hunt have recorded 16 points combined in the past 4 game. The Tigers will need this depth scoring on top of the Tigers top line in order to go far in the playoffs this year.
