Pats lose to Raiders in SO

Regina, Saskatchewan - The Regina Pats (37-23-5-6) dropped a 5-4 decision in a shootout to the Prince Albert Raiders (30-37-2-2) in the final home game of the regular season.

The first period was scoreless until Prince Albert's Jesse Lees opened the scoring with just over a minute left in the first. Prince Albert scored on the power play. In the second period the Regina Pats scored three goals in about six minutes. The closing minutes of the period saw the Pats' Jesse Gabrielle get a 10 minute misconduct penalty. In the third period Regina held a 4-3 lead until the Raiders Kris Schmidli scored with under two minutes to tie the score at four. There was no scoring during the four-on-four overtime period. It wasn't until the sixth shooter of overtime that P.A.'s Kris Schmidli scored the game winner.
