
Gagnon Becomes First Texas Star Recalled To NHL

Cedar Park, TX - The Dallas Stars announced Friday that center Aaron Gagnon has been recalled from the Texas Stars, Dallas' primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).
"This is a big day for the Texas Stars and a big day for Aaron Gagnon," said Texas General Manager Scott White. "Aaron is a responsible player who is deserving of this opportunity. Our main goal here is to develop Dallas Stars and we will continue to do that."
Gagnon becomes the first player in Texas Stars history to receive a call up to the NHL. The 23-year old has played in five games for the Texas Stars in 2009-10, recording one goal and eight penalty minutes. He collected 19 points (8g, 11a) in 61 games last season for Grand Rapids of the AHL last season. Gagnon skated in two games for Dallas in the preseason this year but has not yet made his NHL debut. He was signed as a free agent by Dallas on Feb. 7, 2007.
The Stars will play in Houston on Saturday, October 17th at 7:35 pm. Texas will begin a three-game home stand on Tuesday, October 20th at 7:30 pm against Lake Erie. The Stars host the Monsters again on Friday, October 23rd at 7:30 pm. Cedar Park Regional Medical Center is the presenting sponsor of the game and will provide "Thundersticks" to the first 2,000 fans. On Saturday, October 24th, Texas will host the Hamilton Bulldogs at 7:00 pm. State Farm presents the Family Four Pack on the 24th of October, which includes four hockey tickets, four sodas and four hot dogs for $44.00. The first 2,000 fans to the game on Saturday receive a Texas Stars Sports bottle.
Tickets for any of the Stars 40 regular season home games at Cedar Park Center are on sale, starting as low as $9.00 a seat. Individual game tickets may be purchased by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000, by going online at www.ticketmaster.com or by visiting any local Ticketmaster outlet.
