
G-Men Grab 5-4 Win in PG

Prince George, BC - The Giants never trailed and Samuel Honzek had four points on his birthday as Vancouver won the first half of their two-game weekend at the CN Centre.
1st Period:
VAN: Samuel Honzek opened the scoring 5:03 into the game to bring the score to 1-0.
PG: Just a minute and a half later, Ryker Singer buried a penalty shot to even the score at 1.
VAN: Honzek netted his second of the night, this time on the power play, at 5:18 of the first to give the Giants a lead heading into the intermission.
2nd Period:
PG: Koen Ziemmer tied the game again on the power play 9:40 into the middle frame.
VAN: Captain Zack Ostapchuk restored the Giants lead with a fantastic individual effort just :21 later.
PG: Cougars overager Chase Wheatcroft buried a power play goal :33 after to tie the game yet again.
VAN: Ty Thorpe redirected a short with 1:05 left in the second period to put the Giants ahead going into the second intermission.
3rd Period:
VAN: Jaden Lipinski buried the game winning goal on the power play at the 1:42 mark of the third period.
PG: Cole Dubinsky got one back late on the power play for the Cougars but that was the end of the scoring for the night.
