Adirondack Frostbite News Release

Glens Falls, NY – The Adirondack Frostbite, proud members of the United Hockey League, would like to announce they have changed their game time for their contest against the Muskegon Fury on Wednesday, March 23rd. The time was originally scheduled for 10:30 AM, but has been changed to a 7:05 PM start.

"We still believe in the concept of hosting an education day and possibly having an early start to a weekday game to allow kids to take a field trip to a Frostbite game," said Frostbite general manager Damon Markiewicz. "We just want to make sure the timing of such an event fits into our schedule. We will have a chance to pinpoint some dates on next year's schedule this summer and really put together a strong education day for next year."

Many United Hockey League teams have used the 10:30 AM start at certain points in their schedule to host local schools for the afternoon and enjoy exciting UHL hockey on a weekday. Schools have used the early start to host fieldtrips for their students, a concept the Frostbite will strive to do as well moving forward.

"We receive a tremendous amount of support from our local schools throughout the season," said Markiewicz. "We really like the concept of hosting a 10:30 AM game, we just want to make sure we have a plan in place and this is something we can try heading into next season."

The Frostbite remain home as they host the Elmira Jackals on Wednesday night, followed by back-to-back weekend dates this Friday and Saturday when they host the Port Huron Beacons and Fort Wayne Komets at the Glens Falls Civic Center. Tickets can be purchased by calling 798-0202. The Frostbite currently have the UHL's best record at 39-15-6 good for 84 points.
