Maxime Gingras named UHL Goaltender of the Week

The United Hockey League and the Kansas City Outlaws announced today that goaltender Maxime Gingras has been named Southern Sports Supply Goaltender of the Week for the period ending Sunday, February 27, 2005.

In five games last week, Gingras posted a record of 3-2-0 with a 1.94 goals against average. The 26 year old net minder also had a 94.4 % save percentage. In the Outlaws 1-0 shoot out victory over Rockford on February 26th, Gingras posted the first ever shut out in Kansas City Outlaws franchise history. In three shootouts last week, Gingras stopped 12 of 15 shots.

For the season, Gingras has a record of 14-21-2. He leads the league in shoot out victories with seven. He also ranks fifth in the league with 1,162 saves, and third in shoot out percentage (78.0 %).

The Outlaws return to action Tuesday March 1st at 7:00 PM when they host the Quad City Mallards.
