
IceHogs set franchise mark for wins

The Rockford IceHogs had to overcome a couple of off ice obstacles to pick up three of six points during Week 20. On Friday night the Hogs withstood an hour and a half delay at the MetroCentre due to a power outage to top the Missouri River Otters 5-1. Then after a shootout loss Saturday, and a bus breakdown on the way to Muskegon, an IceHogs comeback came up short against the Fury. Week 21 features a pair of games at Kansas City against the division rival Outlaws.

Transactions
-Winger Eric Labelle was loaned to the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL) on Sunday, February 20.
-Winger Jason Ralph was activated from the 7-Day Injured Reserve on Friday, February 25.
-Defenseman Eric Skaug was activated from Team Suspension on Friday, February 25.
-Forward Jaisen Freeman was signed on Friday, February 25.
-Defenseman Nathan Lutz was returned from the Chicago Wolves (AHL) on Friday, February 25.
-Labelle was returned to Rockford on Saturday, February 26.
-Defenseman Greg Snitowsky was waived on Saturday, February 26.
Bacon Bits:
Goalie Michel Robinson set an IceHogs franchise record with his fifth shutout of the season on Saturday.
Robinson has now started 31 straight games in which he has suited up for Rockford. The only four games in which he didn't start, he was on loan to the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL).
The IceHogs and Outlaws finished the game on Saturday scoreless. The game marked the first time in Hogs history that a game finished 0-0.
Rockford set a franchise record on Friday with their 36 win of the season.
Center J.C. Ruid has climbed all the way up to third in goals in the UHL with 32 markers.
The IceHogs held the Outlaws to a season low 16 shots on goal Saturday night.
The IceHogs have notched 30 or more shots in nine of their last 10 games.
February marked the first month this season in which the Hogs didn't finish over .500. Rockford finished the month with a record of 5-6-2.
Winger J.F. Dufour, the IceHogs leading scorer, led Rockford in scoring in February with 3g-9a-12pts.
Hot Hog: Week 20
Winger Chris Gobert: Gobert accumulated a goal and three assists during Week 20 for the IceHogs. In 43 games this season, Gobert has tallied 43 points, good for fifth on the IceHogs.
Upcoming Games:
Thursday, March 3 at Kansas City Outlaws. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m.. The IceHogs open up their two game week in Kansas City against the Outlaws. The game is the fifth of six against the Hogs Western Division rivals.
Sunday, March 6 at Kansas City Outlaws. The puck drops at 3:05 p.m. The Hogs and Outlaws wrap up their 2004-05 season series in Kansas City at Kemper Arena. The two clubs will meet one last time in Rockford on Monday, March 14 at the MetroCentre.
Final Day For All-Star Jersey Auction:
Today is the final day that IceHogs fans can bid on J.C. Ruid's, J.F. Dufour's and Nathan Lutz's Team Mountain Dew All-Star jersey's. Log onto the IceHogs web-site, icehogs.com, to bid on the three jerseys. All proceeds from the auction will go to the Ronald McDonald House and St. Judes Cancer Research Center. The auction will close at 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 1.

Budweiser HogTalk returns tonight at the Olympic Tavern. The show, hosted by WXRX's Jim Stone and Double T, runs from 6:30-7:30 p.m. each Monday and features IceHogs Head Coach Steve Martinson. Also this week, Vince Malts, Mike Burgoyne and Grady Hunt will be on hand talking Hogs hockey and meeting fans!
