St. Paul Saints News Release
ST. PAUL, MN (September 2, 2012) - While the St. Paul Saints may not be playing for a playoff berth anymore many players are trying to finish up the season strong and play for personal records. The Saints jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the second when Ronnie Bourquin led off with a single. He moved to second on a single by Miles Durham. With one out Tanner Townsend walked to load the bases. Jake Krause knocked in a run with a single.

The Saints showed some fight in the bottom of the inning when Bourquin led off with a double and moved to third on a single by Durham. Joe Spiers' sacrifice fly cut the deficit to one at 3-2. Durham stole second and moved to third on an infield single by Tanner Townsend. A fielder's choice ground out by Krause tied the game at three.
The Wingnuts took the lead for good in the fifth when Rodriguez led off with an infield single. With two outs Peralta doubled to right sending Rodriguez to third, but on the play Durham had trouble playing the ball in right which allowed Rodriguez to score and sent Peralta to third giving the Wingnuts a 4-3 lead. Jesse Mier's RBI single made it 5-3.
