Altoona Curve News Release

ALTOONA, Pa - The Altoona Curve wish to inform ticket holders to Friday's 7:00 p.m. game vs. the Trenton Thunder (AA - New York Yankees) that the scheduled Curve hat giveaway to the first 2,000 fans will be delayed because the hats are part of a shipment that has been detained by U.S. Customs in Los Angeles, Ca. since July 11. Due to concerns about another segment of the shipment, Customs' review process has extended to the point where the Curve hats will not arrive in time for the giveaway event.

The Curve and their supplier, Success Promotions, apologize for the inconvenience this delay may cause fans holding tickets to Friday's game.

In recognition of the inconvenience, the Curve and Success Promotions will provide the first 2,000 fans vouchers to redeem for the hats when the items arrive at Blair County Ballpark and baseball key chains (photo attached). The Curve would like to thank Friday night's sponsors, Glass Mender Mirror & Plate and N.E.W. Corporation, for their support and understanding of the circumstances, which were genuinely beyond the team's control.

The Curve will send out notification through their website (altoonacurve.com) and the regional media when the hats arrive at Blair County Ballpark, so that fans holding vouchers for the item may redeem them.

Fans needing more information can contact the Altoona Curve front office at 943-5400 or toll-free at 877-99-CURVE.
