Fresno Tops River Cats in 10th 4-3

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The River Cats were leading the visiting Fresno Grizzlies 3-1 entering the top of the seventh. A two-run single to left field by Fresno's Edgar Gonzalez evened the score 3-3. With one out in the 10th inning Fresno's Brett Pill hit a sacrifice bunt as Gonzalez scored off a throwing error to first by River Cats reliever Willie Eyre for a 4-3 Grizzlies lead. Sacramento's last chance rally fell short as Fresno improved to 7-3 overall against the Cats in 2011. River Cats center fielder Jai Miller hit a solo homer in the bottom of the first for his 22nd home run of the season. Fresno's Waldis Joaquin recorded the win and improves to 1-1 on the year, while Eyre recorded his 5th loss of the season (3-5).
