Raptors 905 (1-5), the NBA G League affiliate of the Toronto Raptors, dropped the first of back-to-back matches against the Texas Legends (4-1) 130-149 Tuesday evening. Javon Freeman-Liberty tallied a career-high 40 points, adding five rebounds, six assists, and two steals in the loss. Greg Brown III contributed a team-high 30-point, 12-rebound double-double for the Legends. The Legends gained the upper hand early in the ball game, leading the 905 39-32 after the opening 12 minutes. The two teams played an evenly matched second quarter, scoring 34 points apiece. The high scoring first half was led by 20 points and 16 points from Brown III and Justin Jackson respectively, and 18 points and 16 points from Freeman-Liberty and Kevin Obanor, respectively.

Texas showed no signs of slowing down in the second half, outscoring the 905 38-29 in the third quarter. The 905 mounted their comeback bid in the fourth quarter, but the Legends' lead proved to be insurmountable as they scored a season-high 149 points.

The 905 were paced by Obanor who contributed 18 points, nine rebounds, two assists, and a block while Markquis Nowell added a 14-point, 11-assist double-double to the stat sheet. Texas received complementary scoring from Justin Jackson who added 27 points, four rebounds, and four assists in the victory. The two teams meet to close out their season series tomorrow, tip-off slated for 7:30 p.m.
