Nance Nets Triple Double in Charge Win

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The Cleveland Charge (3-2) defeated the Indiana Mad Ants (4-2), 113-105, at the Gainsbridge Fieldhouse on Wednesday afternoon.

Pete Nance posted the first Charge triple double in over two years, scoring 27 points on 9-of-15 from the floor and 5-of-10 from three-point range with 10 rebounds, a career-high 12 assists and zero turnovers in 40 minutes. Malik Fitts scored 27 points on 11-of-17 shooting with seven rebounds and two steals in 41 minutes. Zhaire Smith (14 points, two steals), Aleem Ford (13 points) and Devontae Shuler (12 points) rounded out the stating five all hitting double digit scoring. The last Charge player to post a triple double was R.J. Nembhard at Wisconsin on 11/8/21 when he had 17 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists.

The Mad Ants were led by Kendall Brown's 18 points in 33 minutes. Ben Sheppard posted a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds in 37 minutes. Oscar Tshiebwe scored eight points and grabbed 11 rebounds in 20 minutes. Jarace Walker added 15 points, seven boards and five assists in 33 minutes for Indiana.

Cleveland is back home at the Wolstein Center for Braille Literacy Awareness Night while hosting the Texas Legends on Saturday, January 13 at 8:00 p.m.
