Crestwood, Illinois: The Freedom blew into Windy City as cold as Windy City in the Winter, losers of five straight, but the Freedom managed to straighten up, sailing by Windy City, 12-6.
It was a night for the offense; three players had three or more hits, two of them being Freedom players. Wally Quigg shined in this one, he went 3-5 with two RBI, and an amazing four runs scored. Thunderbolt pitching hasn't figured out the science of getting Mike Galloway out, he went 4-6, with an RBI and three runs scored, his batting average now stands at .372. Trevor Hall had only one hit on the night, but he made it count, his 19th jack of the season, he also drove in five runs to lead the Freedom. Clint Chauncey added his first homerun in a Freedom uniform. Mike Dennison (8-7) went six, giving up three runs on six hits, striking out 3.
Chillicothe, Evansville, and Washington all win, so no one moves anywhere. The Freedom remain up on Chillicothe by one game for the final playoff spot, and second place. Tomorrow Joel Posey (7-1) gets the call for Florence; Josh Glynn (6-6) will start for Windy City.
