The Fresno Grizzlies scored four runs in the top of the ninth inning Friday to break a late tie and beat the El Paso Chihuahuas 9-5. The Grizzlies won three of the four games in the series and are now 19-9 all-time vs. the Chihuahuas.

Friday's game included a barrage of early runs, as the score was tied 5-5 at the end of three innings. Tommy Medica's third-inning RBI double gave El Paso its fifth and final run of the game. Neither team scored between the fourth and eighth innings.

The Chihuahuas ended the top of the third with a 2-5-2 double play, the second straight night an El Paso catcher made two putouts on the same play.

El Paso's Colin Rea pitched 2.1 innings in his Triple-A debut and allowed four earned runs on six hits in a no-decision. Friday's crowd was the largest in Southwest University Park history.
