Indianapolis Indians News Release

PAWTUCKET, RI -- The Pawtucket Red Sox used four doubles to take the series opener from the Indianapolis Indians on Monday night, 6-0. Luke Montz doubled home a pair of runs in the third inning, while teammates Deven Marrero and Sean Coyle also added run-producing doubles later in the evening.

The big inning came in the third when Montz delivered his two-run double. Pawtucket (19-13) pushed across the game's first run in the frame as well when Bryce Brentz drove home Jemile Weeks just before the double by Montz.

Alen Hanson tripled and scored on a grounder by Gustavo Nunez for the Tribe's only run in the eighth inning. The loss broke a string of four games decided by just one run for Indianapolis (18-14).

Charlie Leesman started for Indianapolis, but he left the game after retiring the side in order in the first inning. Adam Miller (0-1) received the loss after allowing three runs in two frames following Leesman. Jess Todd (1-0) started for Pawtucket and worked five scoreless frames to get the win.
