Forward Dale Mitchell Recalled to Marlies

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that forward Dale Mitchell has been recalled by the Maple Leafs and assigned to the Marlies. In a separate transaction, forward Everett Sheen, who was loaned to the Providence Bruins on December 14, has been returned by the P-Bruins to Reading. This marks the first recall of the year to the AHL for Mitchell, who began his season with the Royals in mid-November and registered ten points (8g-2a) in ten games during this stretch with Reading. While with Providence, Sheen picked up two penalty minutes in two games.

Reading returns to action tomorrow (Thursday, December 22, 2011 @ 7:35 pm) when the team will visit the Bi-Lo Center in Greenville, South Carolina, to take on the Greenville Road Warriors. The game night broadcast on Saturday will start at 7:05 pm with the Red Robin Gourmet Burger Pre-Game Warm-up Show on ESPN Radio 1240 am in Reading. Streaming audio is available free of charge courtesy of America One through the Royals' website, www.royalshockey.com. As with all Royals' road games, Thursday's contest in Greenville will be televised locally in Berks County on BCTV courtesy of Boscov's Travel and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.
