SETTING THE STAGE: Tonight's game will be the sixth of nine meetings this season between the Brahmas and the Mudbugs...It will be the third trip of the season for the Brahmas to the Century-Tel Center...The Mudbugs have won all five of the previous meetings this year between the two clubs, with the last two wins coming in overtime in Fort Worth in January...Overall, the Brahmas are 13-22-6 all time against the Mudbugs, including just a 5-14-2 mark in Bossier City.
FORT WORTH NOTES: The Brahmas will look to get back on the winning track tonight after falling 4-2 in Oklahoma City to the Blazers in their last game this past Saturday night...Fort Worth has lost three of their four games overall...Left wing Chad Woollard, the Brahmas leading scorer, remains on assignment with the St. John Maple Leafs of the AHL and will not be in Fort Worth's lineup tonight...The offensive slack in Woollard's absence has been picked up right wing Joey Bastien, who has scored a goal in three consecutive games and has 6 goals and 2 assists in his last five games overall...Center Aaron Davis has 5 points (1G/4A) in 5 games this season against Bossier...Rookie goaltender Tyler Nilsson is expected to start in net tonight for the Brahmas, as goaltender Brent Belecki was traded to Austin earlier this morning.
BOSSIER-SHREVEPORT NOTES: The Mudbugs have won three games in a row and seven of their last ten and are currently leading the Northeast Division by eight points over the Memphis RiverKings...They were last in action this past Saturday night at home when they defeated Memphis 2-1 in regulation...Bossier' s 16 wins on home ice this season are tied for the third most in the CHL...The Bugs 98 goals against this season is second in the CHL to only Laredo's 97...All Star forward Chad Spurr leads the Mudbugs in goals (22), assists (34) and points (56)...Rookie Bugs forward Ryan Manitowich has four goals this season against Fort Worth.
