SETTING THE STAGE: This morning's game will be the first ever "Cool School" game for the Fort Worth Brahmas...Over 6,000 Fort Worth ISD fourth graders from 75 schools will be on hand for the game...Over 1,000 teachers, chaperones, and administrators will also be in the arena...The Honorable Mike Moncrief, Mayor of the City of Fort Worth will drop the ceremonial first puck to begin the game...This will be the second and final meeting of the season between the Brahmas and the Killer Bees...Rio Grande shut out the Brahmas 2-0 on Friday, December 5 in Al Sims first game as the Brahmas head coach.

FORT WORTH NOTES: The Brahmas are looking to start another winning streak as they are coming off a 4-2 victory over the Lubbock Cotton Kings on Sunday afternoon here at home...Fort Worth has lost just once in regulation in their last eight games (4-1-3)...The Brahmas are also 3-1-2 in their last five home games...Left wing Chad Woollard continues to lead the Brahmas offense, as he has a team high 31 points (13G/18A)...Center Aaron Davis has 7 goals and 6 assists in his last ten games to move to second on the Brahmas in scoring with 25 points...Four players (Scott English, Derrell Upton, Aaron Davis, and Adam Davis) are a +3 in their last 5 games played...Tough guy Steve Reid has 40 penalty minutes in his first six games with Fort Worth.

RIO GRANDE VALLEY NOTES: The Killer Bees snapped a three game winless streak with a 3-2 road win on Sunday at Austin...Forward Bill Newson scored 2 goals for the Bees in the victory...Newson leads Rio Grande Valley and is seventh in the CHL in goals scored with 20...The Killer Bees are one of just nine teams in the CHL this year with a winning record on the road (8-6-1)...The Bees have also played the fewest road games (15) of any CHL team this year...Bees goaltender Jeff Levy is tied for the CHL lead with a 4 shutouts...Second year forward Matic Kralj is perhaps the Bees best all around player, as he has 11 goals, 11 assists and a +5 rating this season.
