
Fort Wayne's Perrault UHL Defenseman of the Year

Fort Wayne, IN --- The UHL announced today that Komet defenseman Kelly Perrault has been named Defenseman of the Year for 2002-03. The UHL Defensman of the Year Award is determined by a vote of the UHL head coaches, general managers and media.
Perrault, a 2003 First Team All Star, led UHL defenseman with 52 assists and 64 points appearing in 73 games during his first season with Fort Wayne. His 52 assists is a new Komet record of assists by a defenseman in a UHL season. Perrault also received the Komet's end-of-season team award for Defenseman of the Year.
The 2002-03 campaign is Perrault's 7th as a pro and 2nd in the UHL. The 29-year-old Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta native also skated 61 regular season games and 12 playoff games as a member of the 2000-01 Tarry Cup and Colonial Cup Champion Quad City Mallards.
