Former Grrrowl forward Simon Gamache records hat trick, game-winning goal

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Chicago Wolves, the American Hockey League affiliate of the Greenville Grrrowl, tied their best-of-five Calder Cup Playoff series at two games apiece with a 6-0 win over the Hershey Bears in front of 3,732 at the GIANT Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania on Sunday. The deciding Game 5 is scheduled for tomorrow (Tuesday) night at All State Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.

Wolves forward SIMON GAMACHE recorded 3 goals, including the game-winner, for the defending Calder Cup Champions. Gamache has recorded 4-1-5 points in 4 AHL playoff games this season. The 22-year old Montreal, Quebec native was named the co-MVP of the 2002 East Coast Hockey League Kelly Cup Playoffs for the defending champion Greenville Grrrowl.

The 2003 ECHL Conference Finals begin this week. In the Northern Conference, the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies have home-ice advantage in a best-of-seven series against the Cincinnati Cyclones. Game One is scheduled for Tuesday night at Boardwalk Hall.

The Southern Conference Finals feature the Columbia Inferno and Mississippi SeaWolves. The Inferno enjoy home-ice advantage, and host Game One Wednesday night at the Carolina Coliseum.
