
Former Wrangler Krahn named AHL Goaltender of the Month

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The American Hockey League announced that former Las Vegas Wranglers and current Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights goaltender Brent Krahn has been named the AHL Goaltender of the Month for February.
Selected in the first round (ninth overall) by the Calgary Flames in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft and in his third professional season, the 23-year-old was 7-2-0 with a shutout, goals against of 1.71 and a save percentage of .941 in nine appearances for Omaha in February. He was named AHL Player of the Week on Feb. 28 after going 3-0-0 on the road with goals against of 1.62 and a save percentage of .938. He is 18-15-6 and is tied for second in the league with three shutouts while ranking fifth in goals against with 2.52 and eighth in save percentage with .912.
In his first professional season in 2003-04, Krahn was 7-5-2 with goals against of 2.61 and save percentage of .925 in 14 games with Las Vegas. He also played in the AHL going 2-3-0 with goals against of 2.62 and a save percentage of .924 in seven games with Lowell and 3-7-1 with goals against of 3.44 and save percentage of .884 in 14 games with San Antonio.
The Wranglers continue their season-long nine-game road trip in San Diego this Friday and Saturday. The Wranglers will also make stops in Fresno, Victoria and Phoenix. Las Vegas will return on March 17th to host the Alaska Aces for a three-game series.
Playoff tickets are now available for the 2006 Kelly Cup Playoffs. Fans may purchase a strip of tickets that will include every home playoff game for as little as $200.00 per seat. Fans may purchase seats to all Wranglers home games at any of the following ticket locations: The Orleans Arena Box Office, Coast Casinos' showroom box offices at The Orleans, Gold Coast, South Coast and Suncoast, or at the Galleria Mall guest relations/ticket centers.
