Titans knocked off by Storm 3-1

TOLEDO, OH (March 1, 2006) - The Trenton Titans found themselves at 18-51 shot disadvantage in falling to the Toledo Storm 3-1 at the Toledo Sports Arena on Wednesday night.

Mike James helped the Storm draw first blood when he put in his own rebound for a power play goal at 6:14 of the first period.

Toledo would go on to make it 3-0 after two periods of play while firing 25 shots in on net. Chris Blight notched his 21st goal of the season at 9:29 and Matt Schmidt poked his first goal of the season past Rejean Beauchemin with 2:54 left until the second intermission.

Jim Henkel would finally get the Titans on the board during their third power play of the contest as he released a wrister that beat Drew MacIntyre at 9:09 of the third period.

Despite making 48 saves on the night, Beauchemin falls to 4-10-1 on the season.

The Titans finished 1-for-3 on the power play and 5-for-6 on the penalty kill.
