Former Nailer Cam Paddock Called Up To St. Louis

WHEELING, WV - Former Wheeling Nailers forward Cam Paddock has been called up to the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League.

Originally drafted by the Penguins in the fifth round (#137 overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, Paddock has split his six professional seasons between the ECHL and the American Hockey League.

Paddock, 25, appeared in 114 ECHL games with the Nailers between 2004 and 2006. With the Nailers, he accounted for 67 points (25g, 42a) and 160 penalty minutes.

Cam will become the 35th former Nailer to play in the NHL when he takes the ice for the St. Louis Blues.

The first place Wheeling Nailers, the proud AA affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins, are back at home this Friday night against the Dayton Bombers at 7:35 on Pups-and-Pucks night in which fans are allowed to bring their dogs to WesBanco Arena to enjoy the game.
