November 14, 2008 - ECHL (ECHL)
Augusta Lynx News Release
ESTERO, FL - Mike Brodeur denied 46 Florida Everblades shots through regulation as the Lynx (5-4-2) earned a point but fell to the Everblades 1-0 in a shoot out at Germain Arena on Friday night.
Brodeur was spectacular all night long as Florida out shot the Lynx 14 to 2 in the first period, 13 to 5 in the second and 19 to 5 in the third. Brodeur made save after save including halting a 1 minute and 42 second Florida 5 on 3 power play late in the third period.
The Lynx out shot the Everblades in overtime four to nothing but David Leggio was strong in net for Florida. Danick Bouchard scored the only goal in the shoot out as he put the first Everblades shot past Brodeur for the 1-0 win.
Florida out shot Augusta 47 to 16 in the game. The Lynx went 0 for 3 on the power play while Florida finished 0 for 7.
The Lynx take on the Everblades in the second of back-to-back games on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.
