The National Hockey League's (NHL) Edmonton Oilers have recalled former Gamblers defenseman Matt Greene (2001-02) from the Iowa Stars of the American Hockey League.
Greene, the Oilers fourth choice (second round), 44th overall, in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, has scored two goals and four assists in 23 games with Iowa and is +1 with 34 penalty minutes. Both of his goals have come on special teams as he has netted one power play and one short-handed goal.
